In February 2010 David McNulty and Michael Watts teamed up with Greenpeace to make a 1 minute internet viral in support of their campaign to stop Nestle using palm oil from areas of destroyed rainforests in their products. Greenpeace released the viral on Youtube and Nestle promptly responded by pressurising Youtube to take the video offline, which they did. Greenpeace relaunched the viral on Vimeo and the internet community spread the word of Nestle's censorship - the story went truly viral and within 2 weeks had generated over a million hits. Nestle have recently committed to not using palm oil sourced from areas of rainforest destruction.
