This film was made in the context of the NANOYOU project. It is a finalist of the 24 hours video competition organized by NANOYOU. nanoyou.eu
Scenario: This film presents various applications facilitated by nanotechnology through a caricature of life: a young married man falls in love with his secretary. He takes advantage of available technology to hijack his wife's car (without driver), to be able to go to the movies with his secretary without being discovered by his wife...
Technology: In this film you will see applications of technology such as: an autonomous car, the use of RFID tags and a Data Matrix to enrich the advertising of films, ubiquity networks, geo-localization and mobile networks.
Values: With this film, the film-makers want to illustrate that: 1) Technology will simplify life in the future. 2) There will always remain low-tech tools parallel to high-tech tools (for example the post-it). 3) Technology can be misused for personal needs. 4) Despite technology, coincidence will always play a role in our lives.
Critique: Through this short film the film-makers also want to raise some questions: 1) Can privacy and the pervasiveness computing coexist? 2) Is it possible to avoid the misuse of technology? 3) Is technology really related to social welfare?
