  • You're pretty trusting of Velcro :P

Awesome video, though. Is that a 16-35?
  • Now that I just watched nearly all your other videos, I discovered it's a 17-40. Good stuff :)

Nice! This will all seem very quaint in twenty years when paper thin IPad- like displays are built into every imaginable surface in your house : )

but in that way you leave all those black cloth-tape around the house..pretty ugly to see them when u remove the ipad :-P
  • Drew Maw 2 years ago
Ohhh, but what if we have see through velcro? Too bad ipads don't have a built in female nail hole... that came out wrong...
  • Alex Dowding 2 years ago
Drew that made me laugh hard. Hope you're happy

    Dear Goodness, the jello!

    Nice concept though.
  • Brandon Vincent 2 years ago
Seriously? I think 95% of the shots were stationary. How can you even say something like that?
  • André Schmidt 2 years ago
The majority of the shots are solid. It was just very hard not to notice the DSLR jello in one specific shot.

I'm not saying the video is less entertaining because of it, I do like the concept after all.
  • Suresh plus 2 years ago
Jello? really? Dude, make some videos.

    Great video, nicely done.

Totally agree with the comments above. Nicely shot and edited. Great idea as well. Felt just like a professionally shot commercial. As they say on eBay, A+ for you work. I use velcro in my car to keep the iPhone firmly in place on the dashboard: bit.ly/cYyabE

Excellent video! Very professionally done. Not sure I'll do that with my iPad, but it works for my iPhone so maybe I'll spring for the velcro after all.

Very cool Idea that I might implement in some parts for some other I would prefer the (a bit more costy_ solution of having a few docks. This way allowing the iPad to charge ;-)

Velcro makes "Clear" (actually slightly translucent) as well. Way more attractive on metal.
Or just go straight to steel: mediatum.ub.tum.de/file/810328/997094.jpg

Problem of black velcro strips around the house solved if you just buy 21 iPads and leave them stuck to the wall all the time in all locations!

Nice video, but I'd be slightly concerned by fat splash on the 'cooker iPad' from frying pan, and the 'ceiling iPad' falling onto me while watching video in bed (not to mention the 'motorbike iPad' flying off as I corner ...).
  •
  • What a great video. Simple but effective idea mixed with great camera work. Well done. I will be sharing this one for sure.

Awesome and generally brilliant. I wish I had the balls to stick velcro on the back of my iPad and not worry about ~*residue left behind after I decided I didn't want velcro anymore. Which I inevitably would, because I'm OCD with my gadgets and their shininess.

My OCD about unforgiving Velcro adhesive kept me from enjoying this as much as I wanted to. But I think he might have used double-sticky tape to mitigate that just to make the video, don't you think?
  • Jesse Rosten plus 2 years ago
    ;)
  • Jen Hampton 1 year ago
Plus, you could always install a skin on it first. That way, worst case scenario is that your skin is trashed after removal. :P

And what I'm not sure of is whether the clever use of velcro convinced me that I need an iPad, or if the clever use of iPad convinced me that I really need to pick up some velcro.
  •
  • Chuck Reynolds 2 years ago
lol nice video... I don't think I'm going to try the velcro trick on my GSXR - not sure it's THAT strong ;)

Stare at the monitor all day,
then go home and stare at the monitor all night
  • Chris Jacques 2 years ago
That's why the iPad rules. It's portable; big enough, but small enough. You don't have to stare, just glance when you need something, then go about your life. iPad is just there to help.

Brilliant choreography of images and audio. The "crunch" at the end was just perfect.

(btw: have you tried this with large blobs of UHU (brand) "Hold-It"? I'm sure it's not as strong for all applications, it's just very easily reversable.)
