This is the intro animation for the USC student animation show of 2010 held at the DGA (Los Angeles) and included on the annual DVD.
I had a lot of freedom to do whatever I wanted so I decided to experiment some more with the technique sometimes called “infinite cycles” (see Adam Beckett films for example).
This animation in particular was created with 8 drawings and about 30 passes and you only see the sum of them.
It was drawn on rice paper with black Parker ink and then I used water and bleach to make the lines bleed and obtain the blues and ochre colors.
