High Altitude Balloon
Footage from a high altitude weather balloon sent to ~33km into near space.
There are a lot more details on the flickr photoset:

Update: I wrote a pretty lengthy blog post detailing this project as well.

We are currently planning our next launch, and was wondering what video camera model you used for your launch?
For the video I used a GoPro HD1 (they sell it as the "naked" on their web site) shooting 1080p to a 32GB SD card. I modified the battery compartment to use an external 2000mAh Li-ion battery in place of the 1100mAh battery that comes stock; in tests it captured nearly 5 hours of continuous 1080p video. It came with a shockproof case, but I just mounted it bare in the payload. If you look through the flickr set, you can see where it was mounted in the box.
I also used a Canon SD780IS running CHDK to take a still photo every 30 seconds like you did. I recommend both cameras very much, as they are both light in weight and high-quality.
Next launch I'm planning on aiming the camera up (or perhaps on a servo-controlled tilt platform) and capturing 720p video of the balloon bursting at 60 frames per second. Exciting stuff :)
If you have any other questions or want to chat more, feel free to shoot me an email: me [at] stilldavid [dot] com.

It was just a Still Camera but it captured a picture in the right moment :)

What about the footage of the landing?...
I'd love to see that.
