In every age, there are some that predict that "the end is near." Our time is no exception. On the relative heels of Y2K come dire warnings about the year 2012, with the expiration of an ancient calendar acting as a harbinger of doom. In this sermon from the Manhattan Church of Christ by Larry Mudd, we look at some of the things the Scriptures say the End is going to be, and some of the things it isn't. Drawing examples from modern culture, we recognize how small some of our ideas are in the face of the mighty sovereign God who is the Lord of all things. With Him in control, we have nothing to fear.
The sermon uses 1 Thessalonians 4:13 - 5:11 (try biblegateway.com - we us TNIV) as its primary text. Feel free to look at the notes while you watch. Find them at manhattanchurch.org/sermonnotes/?p=178.
