We, at Immanuel Baptist Church are the adopted children of God who have been given new hearts to love what our Lord loves and to hate what our Lord hates. Thus, as our Father loves the orphan, so do we. As our Father cares for the needy, we do as well. As our Father loves to defend the weak, so also do we. And as our Father despises oppression and injustice, we despise it with him. As he grieves over disease and poverty, we too are filled with sorrow. Our commitment to care for the orphan is a tangible manifestation of God’s love that has poured into our hearts.
