St. John’s, Newfoundland based indie-rock musician Cody Westman's 'I Had a Lover' is the first single off his debut album 'I Am Cody Westman.' The music video is a love story about a vagabond couple that delivers a dead body (Cody Westman) to an unknown location. Along the way they interact with various people and places that prove equal parts beautiful and nightmarish.

In addition to the music video, an extended version of the story will be screened as a short film at the Nickel Film Festival in St. John’s, Newfoundland in June titled 'Black Clouds', and will be available for viewing online shortly thereafter.
