The film documents a gathering of people in September 2009 coming together to enquire into the various global crises and their intrinsic connection to our own sense of self. Seven speakers from a wide range of expertise were invited to share their experiences of the current global situation. The question of the symposium was 'Can I see myself and the world as one self?' Held at the Chisholme Institute in the Scottish borders this unique event combined discussion, chi kung, meditation, walks in the beautiful surrounds, fantastic home-cooked food, live music and the chance to be together without an agenda but with a common focus. The full talks are available on DVD as part of a two disc set including a CD of the live music from the Symposium featuring 6 tracks from Peter Murphy (including 2 previously unreleased songs and contributions from The vastearthorchestra, the Soul of the World Chorus, Kirsten Morrison and the Matt Seattle Band.
