25. The Tension

Short visual poem done for a 24hour animation contest. We were given a theme at the beginning of the 24 hours and were to animate an atleast 30sec piece around that theme. The theme given that year was Tension.
I used the first 5 hours to concept and story board out the piece. The concept was to become a visual & aural personification of tension itself as well as emote the feeling of tension from the viewer by not truely giving them the ending. The typography also utilized this theme through the kerning & leading creating a sense of unease through the layout and type choices.
The film was created by mixed media. Hand drawn animation, 3D animation, photography, and 2D animation.
