This is the story of a man’s daily life and how it is boring and quite repetitive. Project developed under the context of my sequential art studies. It is a study of the visual discourse of animation films.

Thank you, It was a really quick write. I wanted to write more about how beautifly spacial this is. The composition, the timing, the cubic nature to it combined with the comic roots... As an Architecture designer, this is just a spacial delight... Just perfect! Thank you again.

Fantastic film. I love every bit of it...
    The way story unfolds
    The music
    The layout
    The title
    The passing of time
    ...
Only one part, (where he come to his office, see the conversation, say Hi...) some how stand out as a different bit in the whole movie.

The video is very impressive, but I'm surprised no one has mentioned Chris Ware. That's straight Chris Ware. It's Jimmy Corrigan.
  • jacques khouri 1 year ago
yes! he is one of my inspiration as well as tom gauld (check him out). Also their was a good conversation on M. Mccloud's blog

Chris Ware's Acme Novelty works are available in digital format on torrent sites. Yep, illegal. But I own all of his print work in first edition, so I feel no guilt. If you do download Ware's work by torrent, purchase the print versions (those you can find) for two reasons: 1) the artist deserves your support, 2) you cannot fully appreciate the work in digital format as Acme Novelty issues are in many different print sizes which alters the experience.

Also, find as many issues of Art Spiegelman's Raw as you can get your hands on. That's where I first saw Ware's work. You might also like Joost Swarte.
