Once every five years singers from Estonia and around the globe converge for one of the largest choral events in the world. 30,000 singers perform traditional Estonian songs for an audience of 80,000, carrying on a cultural tradition nearly 150 years old. The festival has kept the Estonian spirit alive during a tumultuous history of Soviet oppression and hardship.
