Well at least a portion of it.
Ed has made an annual trek from his home in New Hampshire for the past five or six years to play on my program. He's a remarkable player . Today he brought two guitars his Breedlove Ed Gerhard signature model and a new Weissenborn like lap guitar that was exceptionally crafted both for the visual and sonic senses.

Here playing aportion of the Roly Salley tune " Killing the Blues".

It's unfortunate the crackling was added during the flash transition,,

    I have never seen somebody playing guitar like this, thanks ! (I haven't seen a lot, that's probably why !)

    Hey Remyyy , well Ed says the reason it is played thiis way is the neck is actually part of the sound resonating body, in other words it is box-like and too large to get your hands around so it has to be played like shown.

    Thanks for the info ! So if I've understood well, it's a special guitar too !

    Weissenborns have an amazing tone timbre and depth for a bit of history on the instrument check out this page;

    Very nice! The "popping" made it sound like we were listening to an old acetate recording!

    You may have answered this before, but is there a way that one can listen to your show on the internet?
  • Remyyy plus 3 years ago
    Good question because I've already listen to the radio but I don't know in which show you are exactly !
