As of today, fundraisers on mycharity: water have raised more than $2 million for clean water projects. This will bring safe drinking water to 100,000 people.

Many gave up a birthday — they asked for money to build a well instead of birthday presents. Others biked, swam, danced or ran marathons and collected pledges. And still more led entire schools, churches or communities to contribute to their cause.

One mission statement, one campaign at a time, mycharity: water kept outpacing expectations. Some raised thousands; some raised just a few bucks. Every donation counted in the fight to end the world water crisis.

charity: water is grateful for its grassroots supporters. In less than nine months, they have proved that a little time and dedication can turn into an entire movement for change.
