Thank you very much! I am a Christian and had no idea about this. I do want to tell others. God's ways are so great, but for a lack of knowledge we do suffer. But God is helping greatly to get that knowledge! Thank you!

It is a great video! The definition of contraception was actually changed. The first definition defined it starting at fertilization. The later definition was given to start at implantation. This was purposely done to call the pill a contraceptive and not an abortifacient. I cut and paste below info from Wikipedia on the controversy:

"In 1959, Dr. Bent Boving suggested that the word "conception" should be associated with the process of implantation instead of fertilization.[12] Some thought was given to possible societal consequences, as evidenced by Boving's statement that "the social advantage of being considered to prevent conception rather than to destroy an established pregnancy could depend on something so simple as a prudent habit of speech." In 1965, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) adopted Boving’s definition: "conception is the implantation of a fertilized ovum."[13]

The 1965 ACOG definition was imprecise because, by the time it implants, the zygote is called a blastocyst,[14] so it was clarified in 1972 to "Conception is the implantation of the blastocyst."[15] Some dictionaries continue to use the definition of conception as the formation of a viable zygote.[16]"

As you can see the definition of pregnancy was purposely changed.

“How does the pill really work?”

    It prevents ovulation.

” Can everyday oral contraceptives really cause abortions? ”

    No.

“Why are so many people uninformed?”"

Because of idiotic misinformation - like this video - spread by the pro-life movement, promoting abortions by preventing access to effective contraception.

Actually Jesurgislac you are the one misinformed. This info is readily known by all pharmacy employees because it is listed in the PDR and in the prescribing info leaflet but NOT in the patient info for each pack of pills. Only if you choose not to look will you not find it. Go ahead read a PDR sometime your neighborhood pharmacist will be more than happy to show you, unless they are too busy filling the gazillion scripts patients like you just want filled and don't care to hear the warnings.
