Garry Schyman's site has a short news item on the making of the song. It's an adapted Bengali poem that they used by Rabindranath Tagore. There's a translated form in Gary's news item, but I'm not sure how to find the original poem they used. Hope this helps. :)

I love the way each one of Matt's videos finds a new way to make me blub like a little girl. I kicked off when everyone joined in the dancing, but the dancing in India sent me into a full-on bawl. Possibly the nicest video ever made.
