this is awesome! what programmes do you use to create these animations!?!?
  • Bryan O'Sullivan 1 year ago
    Thanks!

The characters were animated in flash and then brought into after effects to be composited - backgrounds, blurs, lighting effects, camera moves, etc. were added.

The 16 bit platformer scene was achieved by animating in flash at 384 X 216 pixels and then scaling up the visuals in after effects to 1280 X 720, so everything looks all 'blocky'. Simple stuff really.

  • Very cute. If you have not already, I think you should do more with these characters. That video game portion was really well done, I thought.

  • cuteness. :) I love Rian's voice.

Those characters remind me of 'Wind Waker' (I
    have cat eyes) Zelda.

Good show! I thought I would be bored by a mundane child cartoon, but it has elements that enjoyable for many ages. Kinda like Nickelodeon in the 90's (e.g. Invader Zim)

P.S. Who (and what) is that big pink rabbit-like thing. 'Cause it ate the flippin' houses! 0.o

    Thanks!

That rabbit has an intersting origin, but that's for another day...

I like the elevating car in the beginning.
    Good for you...

    Thanks.

Pogo can transform into other stuff too. But he likes being a car the best.

This is great. Great imagination. Fun little gags like the race to the house, elevating car, etc.
    You are destined for greatness!!!

May I ask: how long did it take you to complete this?
  • Bryan O'Sullivan 1 year ago
I started drawing rough concepts about this time last year. I'd say about 10% of what I originally thought up is in the finished film though. Then I did all the animation and compositing in three months from March to May.
