I competed in a karate competition on June 21, 2008. My first one ever and here is my kata that I did. It is called Heian Shodan and it is a yellow to high yellow belt kata. I was so nervous though that I forgot to bow to one of my fellow competitors when she came off the mat. Darn! Oh well, I'll remember next time. It was lots of fun and I don't think I did too badly considering that I really shouldn't know it till yellow belt. I ended up with a bronze medal and there weren't but a couple tenths of a point separating me from second place.
