This is footage descending Bell Pass back to the Gateway trailhead in the Sonoran Preserve trail system in Scottsdale, AZ. My buddy Paul and I climbed from the Gateway trailhead up to Windgate pass, down the backside, and back up to Bell Pass. This is on the west side of McDowell Mountains. There are some tough climbs to get up there, but the way down is worth it. This is a great, "short" loop that will always be challenging.
This was back in late March after some good Spring rains, so the trail is nice and green. Also was mid-week; you'd never see such low trail traffic like that on a weekend morning.
It's descents like this that make me LOVE Magura brakes. I've never used a brake that had such consistent, powerful performance in such a lightweight package, and all with mineral oil!
