Amanda pulls the elf look off really well. Elf suits are pretty suited to cute girls though - she's lucky the bet wasn't to wear a christmas pudding suit or something.

When I was about 14 I wore an elf costume to school for a day to raise money for charity. It was basically a green pointy hat, a short green dress cut all jaggedy, and black jodhpurs (you know, those tight elasticated horse-riding trousers. I mean tight in the horribly revealing sense, not the "fly" sense). As you can imagine, I was pretty embarassed so I wore my coat as much as I could, but without the pixie dress for reference I just looked like some kind of jodhpur wearing fetishist. It was one of the worst days of my life, but at least I raised that £4.35 to get a peanut for Africa or whatever.

At certain angles, she looks like Keira Knightley. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing. But Keira couldn't ever successfully wear the elf outfit. So kudo's to Amanda.
