The highest point in Utah - Kings Peak - at 13,528 feet is located just south of Wyoming in the Uinta Mountains and the corresponding High Uintas Wilderness. An ascent of the 13,528 ft mountain involves over 28 miles and 5,300 ft of elevation gain.
Amy and Forrest McCarthy skied Kings Peak on Memorial Day Weekend 2010. They completed the ascent/descent in one and half days from the Henry’s Fork Trail Head.
