I don't know where half moon bay is but anytime to meet is fine with me as long as i can be whisped away and returned to a bart station. It takes me about 45 min to drive the station and 45 minutes to get to san francisco. So if you pick any bart station and give me a time, I can make sure I'm there, also I can bring a book or something if I'm early. :-) chirp

Now that sounds like a night.

hahaha. I'm not sure. I know when I was checking on it while editing it, I was watching it across 3 monitors. I'm surprised my computer didn't burst into flames.

When I'm not bored I'm hanging out with friends or riding my bike or having adventures. My boredom time usually starts at midnight and ends at around 9AM. It's awesome when you have a body that doesn't need lots of sleep but still feels happy and healthy all the time.

enjoy it while you're young pretty girl! I used to be like that too, but it starts to take its toll. Unless you're superhuman, which you very well might be!!

hahah I think I'm done with it for now. After working on it for so long and how awful it was to have to render everytime i moved anything, I think my venture into hyper-widescreendom has come to an end. Time to find something new to entertain myself with. haha

I liked the text too, i wish I would've done more but I got way too lazy. This was supposed to be a 3 minute video, but i kept trimming it because I didn't want to work on it anymore, (and it only had been a couple hours). I have some weird hobby ADD or something.

i get that. I have a similar condition called Lazy-itis. It forces me to work on my films v e r y s l o w l y . . .

haha at least when you do them they turn out golden. I usually rush to the end because I'm scared if it takes too long I'll never finish. Then later when I watch my videos I notice stupid mistakes I could've fixed but now am too lazy to even go back into. The ship has sailed far far away. hee hee

I know that exact feeling. I always kick myself... this is why i've learnt to force myself to really take my time. There's no rush. There's a feeling people like us have, which is this excitement to just share it... and I find everytime I give in to that, I regret it later...

Everytime i go back to something after a couple of days, it gets better. So this time around i'm really taking a lot of little breaks in order to really illuminate the flaws... the ones i can fix anyway ;)

Having said that, I don't really see any mistakes in your stuff... so maybe we're just hard on ourselves. lol

I know..I hope I don't break vimeo. I keep trying all these different things...just testing out things. I'm grateful Vimeo's fun to play around with like that, it keeps me on my toes.

Yeah I had to be careful because if I went any wider than this, it would take away from the concept of the video rather than enhance it. I feel it would be easier to go wider if you had the means to view it accordingly, but I think for internet viewing, this is probably as wide as I would go.

I only did the light streak dotty things in AE, but I edited the entire thing in Final Cut Pro. I marked all the beats in that by spending some cuddle time with the audio waveforms. haha

haha it's not cropped its just REALLY REALLY big. With a lot of editing software today you can make your sequences be any dimension you want...the possibilities are endlesssss!!!!

On After Effects? I mean, I know how to make the black bars to crop it down to whatever I want but I don't know how to crop the dimensions. What editing software are you on?

I made this in Final Cut Pro (well, that's where I pieced everything together) I only did the light streaks in After Effects. In final cut pro you make the sequence whatever size you you get that cropped dimension. Or if you want to "crop" an existing project you matte widescreen it. I'm not sure if that answered your question properly but let me know and I can try to explain better.

in After Effects you can also make the sequence be any dimension you want so it is super long and small like this one.

I'm just unfamiliar with "matte" widescreen. I know how to crop in FCP but that just makes the black bars, not actually crops.
