This was my second film of second year (which was also a critical disaster)...

3 weeks on pre-production and storyboarding
4 weeks on animating
2 weeks on cleanup and colouring
1 week on compositing

It's kind of a political so there's a little bit of explaining to do about it.

When we began 2nd year, we were told that through an administrative "mistake" the college had let in 35 first years instead of the 22 that they can handle. For a few reasons it was decided that we (the 2nd years) should be the ones without a studio. The "solution" for this was so laughable that the 2nd years had to go on strike in order to get simple things like linetesters, chairs and electricity. We had to wait for six weeks before we actually started full classes. The new studio wasn't unlike the buildings in the film concrete slabs with no windows.

The college still refuses to acknowledge or apologize for anything that happened.

As well as this happening, 2nd year film, like in most other years were under constant attack of intimidation and borderline bullying in some cases by authority figures. The result of this is alot of watered down compromised films and wildly inconsistent grading.

To sum it all up and explain why this relates to the film. This year it seems the price of remainig in favour with those in power (both in administrative and grading) is to sell out on your own beliefs and ideas, and that anything good that came out of the course this year, was despite it, instead of because of it.

I didn't want to dwell on that too long and I don't want to add more to it, there's no real need to. It's kind of petty to have to mention it and I've tried to keep it minimal on the self-pity. They're just a few things that were very important in making the film and things that I hoped to address with it.

----------------------------------------------------------

The film in 100% digital, I wanted to see if I could it that way.

Backgrounds made in Photoshop, the animation was hand drawn into Flash and coloured in Photoshop the Whole thing was then put through After Effects and Premiere.
