I bought Primal Scream's album "Vanishing Point" right before going on a trip to Alaska. One early morning, while driving from Anchorage to the Kenai Peninsula with my parents, brother Bobby, and aunt and uncle, I listened to the song "Get Duffy" and was amazed how perfectly its dark, icy sound fit the amazing scenery. In talking about doing a music version of Jim Coudal's "Field Tested Books" today, I remembered my strong association between that song and this place, and decided to dig up some video I had shot of the drive and long ago edited to match the song.
