Vimeo Code Swarm
There's been a bunch of these videos on Vimeo lately for huge projects like Eclipse, Python and Apache. So here's the (much simpler) code swarm for Vimeo, dating back to a few weeks after we first first started using Subversion in Feb 07.
Here's an explanation from the Code Swarm website (vis.cs.ucdavis.edu/~ogawa/codeswarm):
"This visualization shows the history of commits in a software project. A commit happens when a developer makes changes to the code. When a developer commits a file, it lights up and flies towards that developer. Files are colored according to their purpose, such as whether they are source code or a document. If files or developers have not been active for a while, they will fade away."
The song is Blur's "We've Got a File on You".
