Mermaid Parade at Coney Island combined with some musing on the nature of walking and swimming and coming and going and living and dying, etc. Music is Miles Davis (from Bitches Brew) Art is mine with the sculpture of Toshio Sasaki. For more on him:

I"ve been playing with this since Saturday. Somehow the Camera has gone on the fritz and that is what I like to use to record voice overs as the mic is better.... I had to use the tiny thing built into the computer and consequently the voice sound is kind of shittty If I can get the machines to work, I'll might rerecord, but...

Portrait of the Artist as a thoughtful man.

Wonderful. Love the shot of the umbrella vs. parachute drop.

"These are the pearls that were his eyes..."

Yeah I tried to do it from memory and mangled it... I tend to enjoy the ways I mangle shakespeare. I might do it right if I rerecord the voice today.

I like the new version. Love the allusions. The illusions.

Beach scene reminds me of the passage in 'Portrait' where Stephen sees the girl and dedicates himself to art. Do I see a guy carrying a Poseidon trident in the left corner? How'd you manage that!?

well everyone is in costume... so it wasn't so hard. I saw the reflection in the sand and thought of deKooning's clam diggers.... a sort of aha moment.

One of my favorites of yours. Just the right amount of emotion mixed with art and thinking. That, with the music of Miles... superb!

    I'm sorry for your loss.

"Wha happened?" (Fred Willard from A Mighty Wind) I was all ready to watch and now its gone. I must form an investigation into what has happened "Law and Order" Style DUN DUNNNNNNN

It's up again. I tried recording the audio with another crummy mic device (my still camera)... might be a little better. However... it cut off the sound at the end that says "Ill miss you Toshio." Nothing but technical difficulties with this vid.
