To make the video black and white I applied a Hue/Saturation effect in After Effects and just turned the saturation all the way down. I don't know if that's the best way to do it, but it seemed to work well enough. I also raised the contrast a bit!
i really felt terror !
you have a terror-ist talent dear Matt !
I like your color grading as well.
Yes, I put one piece of footage on a layer above the other and then masked a portion of the top layer to reveal the layer beneath. Its an animated mask that follows the edge of my hand and face in the foreground.
At one point you can clearly see the hand on the toothbrush in the mirror instantly change position. I wanted it to be more seamless then that, but after fiddling with it forever I just gave up.
That was awesome!!
Sorry about your trousers! I hope it all comes out in the wash. :)
And I thought "Silent Hill", too - a game which works mostly (I think) because of its sound...
Man, I justwatched like 4 of your vids. All good stuff.
4the staff, why do I get this vid on the 9th day?
That was actually just how the footage looked due to the 35mm adapter. Perhaps removing the color and turning up the contrast made it stand out more, but that was not something I did purposely, even though I did like the end result.
I don't know if you can tell, but that groaning was the sound of a baby crying slowed way down. I tried all kinds of sounds. At one point I had a lion growling, glass breaking, chanting, birds screeching, car crashing sounds, and other stuff!
I like that phrase, "wonderfully disturbing"! :)
Nice sound design as well by the way...
You could do the same thing but you should find some audio of an old projector, that way the strobing would match up to the projector sound.
I dont know you but I just have to say that was freakin amazing...
So erie and just incredible, i love the sound effects and the old woman moan or whatever that was. Do you happen to have an AIM? I would love some advice..
10/10
Get back to me please :)
