430 are already confirmed dead with more than 750 were still missing in at least eight towns of Albay Province in the Bicol region, Philippines, as mudflows brought about by Typhoon Reming (international codename: Durian) rushed to the areas at 2:00 in the afternoon of Thursday, November 30, 2006. A total of 800,000 people were affected and more than 200,000 hectares of land were damaged.
