Kaiser Permanente member Lee Shayler is 42 years old and lives in Highlands Ranch, CO. Retinitis Pigmentosa has now rendered him legally blind. The Challenge:
Walk 1,000 miles in 1,000 hours, walking at least 1 mile every hour of the day.
The Event:
To raise awareness and funds for blind charities in the USA and UK, this walk will take 42 days and 41 nights to complete, and will take place in 6 local regional parks.
Lee is expected to finish his walk on June 6, 2010.
