This example demonstrates a classic colorizer patch with the LZX Visionary modular video synthesizer. Modules used include Video Sync Generator (VSG), Color Video Encoder (CVE), Triple Video Fader & Key Generator (TVF) and Video Blending Matrix (VBM). The TVF key inputs are fed external video from the Y output of the VSG, which is in turn locked to the output of a DVD player. The three key outputs of the TVF are then fed to the top inputs of the VBM columns A, B & C. The sum outputs of the VBM are then fed into the CVE Red, Green and Blue inputs. TVF bias knobs are adjusted to set the keying thresholds and VBM amount knobs are adjusted to select the color produced by each key output. No manual tweaking during the clip. The clip used is from Plague Dogs (1982).
