This was totally rad-such a smooth process, too, the pool just 'filled up'

You've got this TL thang down, bro. Let's see----LucasbergBoudreau Productions? BoudreauWorks, LTD?

3 hoses? Running a water hose off of the neighbors were ya?
    :)

  • Brian Boudreau 3 months ago
Im lucky my dad lives beside me so I borrowed his hose and assistance getting it ready to fill. Then grabed another hose off my neighbour on other side of me.

"...and thought would make a cool time-lapse..."???

Who are you kidding? You KNOW it was the other way around. More like....

"hey what else can I TL?? The dog's peeing? Hmm....Heyyy, I can TL putting up the pool!! It's summertime now anyways, yehhh...."

Ha. ha. ha. You know I am razzing you, Brian.
  • Brian Boudreau 3 months ago
LMAO. I think there is 1 or 2 frames where the dog is peeing...lol

That was sweet ,great use of TL. I have lots of TL's of me putting Ikea stuff together. The best was when I added a room on my house I did a TL with my video cam, you could watch who was working and who was not.

Every time I put up one of those pools it last about a week. Some mutant super strong grass always pokes through. All though I don't have a special spot set aside like you.

I can't remember how much Mortor Sand I had brought in. I just remember a dump truck droped it off and we were on the wheelbarrel for a while :) Its about 3-4 inches thick all around. Some of the grass/weeds are dam tough. every spring I have to go around and pull as much as I can before setting up.

The TL of you home renovation must of been pretty sweet and the non workers had no alibi...lol

That was cool!!! I have to get one of those gentLED thingys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Brian Boudreau 3 months ago
    yes you do :)
  • rastAsia 3 months ago
Neat toy. Thanks for mentioning Kev. I learn a new thing today. But its just for triggering the camera right? No information or setting changes possible from the remote trigger? And what's for triggering?

Nevermind...zzzip! I'm back to their site to learn more bout it. Awesome stuff! And affordable!

Again wait. GentLED On your HV20? How?
I thought you shot the vid with still camera all this time.
  • Brian Boudreau 3 months ago
Just velcro the device on your tripod under the HV20 IR port and it flashes causing it to trigger.

nice one Brian, but if I had one of those pools I would be fed-up with my kids saying "...is it ready yet?"

Just wish they would fill up in under a minute ;-)
  • Brian Boudreau 3 months ago

Nicely done, but we're having some wildfires here in Northern California and could sure use the extra water ;-)
  • Brian Boudreau 3 months ago
If you can get the water there you can come get it :)

I like how you talk with the neighbor at the end. :)
  • Brian Boudreau 3 months ago
He thought it was a pretty neat idea. Even offerd to setup some lights from his deck, but the pool was pretty much full when it got dark.

I was hoping to see you setup a ladder and watch a few people jump in at the last bit.

Know whats fun with those kinda pools? Firm wall ones are better, get 5 people, stand around the edges spread out, and just start walking around the outside int he same direction for 5 minutes.

If it stays up that long. Instant whirlpool. Then ball up and watch yourself go to the center and down the middle lol.
  • Brian Boudreau 3 months ago
ya I thought of that but the water was ice cold after filling. guess I could of waited a couple of days to warm up and film that part.

as for the going in a circle and whirlpool, the kids do that alot

    thanks for the input

I was in last night its up to 72F.. was still to cold for me, but dosent seem to bother the kids...lol

85 is alot better. IF we get a couple days of sun it will shoot up there quick

That was a neat time lapse and the pool looks like a lot of fun for the kids.

How long is your season up there in Canada? 5,600 gallons is a lot of water! I hope it doesn't break at the bottom and flood your neighbors lol
  • Brian Boudreau 3 months ago
We can usually get from the last week or 2 of June until the first week of September for our season with a pool like this. If you have a heated pool then from end of May till end of September.

The kids love it they pretty much live in there most of the summer.

Ya if it broke, that would be a nightmare my neighbors yard is about 6 inchs lower then mine so he would be flooded before I even knew it was leaking

    21 198.306 litres
  • Brian Boudreau 2 months ago
It sounds more impressive in litres. Thats like 29 yrs supply of drinking water at 2L a day
  •
  • Lyall Furphy 2 months ago
Just out of interest did you measure in US gallons or Imperial gallons? My conversion was based on US which are smaller than Imperial gallons.
  • Brian Boudreau 2 months ago
US gallons, got the specs off website.

wow!! great video! now, having read the above comments, I still don't know how you did the timelapse... I guess I'm a newbie
  • Brian Boudreau 1 month ago
Hey Byron, There is a device called gentled Auto.. its a small intervelometer that basically forces the hv20 to snap a picture at what you set it at. anywhere from 3seconds -4 mins. I think I had it set aroudn 12-15 seconds cant remember now.

then you take all those pictures that is has snaped bring them into Vegas or another NLE and put it toegther.. hope that helps??
