"Colored Dust" by Victoria Taylor-Gore
Update: - now the video has a new ending shot with the completed pastel - thanks to @planetMitch (on Twitter) of Planet5D (blog.planet5d.com/) for the great suggestion! I am still learning and I really appreciate constructive feedback from the community. Also thanks to Richard Harrington (richardharringtonblog.com/) for his helpful suggestions.

This is a video about how I do a pastel - a pastel filmed from start to finish. I've always called pastels "magic colored dust," and they proved to be a colorful subject. Recently I read a quote by the late Louise Bourgeois (rest in peace) that inspired my approach to this film, "I am not what I am, I am what I do with my hands..."
Filmed with a Canon 7D, Tokina 16-50mm f2.8 lens, and a Tokina 100mm macro f2.8 lens - love these lenses. Edited (with no color correction, only some adjustment to the levels) in Adobe Premiere Pro CS4.

WOW, this video is so awesome. I especially love those macro shoots!
I was so inspired by this piece when I viewed it for the first time yesterday. I then went on to view some of your other works and, other than being insanely jealous of your talent, I was also struck by how immensely talented you are in so many mediums.
Thank you so much for stirring me! I will be checking back frequently to see your new creations...
