No gamma or setting. just white balance warm outside and white balance a little blue inside. Thanks for the comment!

Are you using any kind of bracket when you hand-hold this rig? Nice footage, btw.
  • W. Ashley Maddox 1 year ago
Cavision Rod Support. (I think that's what you mean...) Thanks for watching!

how user friendly is the letus? i want one for weddings but i am not sure if it's a to much of a hassle.
  • W. Ashley Maddox 1 year ago
It's terrific! It will change your life. Quite easy once you get the hang of it. Of course I warned the Bride and groom of excessive lighting, but they wanted that look. It could be something to give your clients as an option. All my best.

what do you do about shooting inside of a dark chapel of at night with the letus?
  • W. Ashley Maddox 1 year ago
Bring in a light if you can. You will see about 1/2 stop of light loss.

Did you change lens frequently to get the shots you want? (as opposed to using two camcorders) Was it doable?
  • W. Ashley Maddox 1 year ago
I changed between the 24 and 85mm. I just kept a little lens holder on my belt and changed it on the fly, :-)

Lovely! Did you added the vignette in post?
  • W. Ashley Maddox 1 year ago
No i just shot it that way. The letus on the ex1 gives it that look. If I zoom in it goes away. But I like.

Nice work! did it get tiring holding your rig handheld the whole time? LOVED the pull-focus to the flowers!

    I cheated! I had a mono-pod.

Dude, those shots around 2.47 and 2.53, totally stunning quality. That set up of the EX1 and Letus is amazing, so film like to my eyes. Lovely stuff.

    Very nice...
    Is there any color correction?
Look at my wedding clip - I use DVX100 without letus, but CC - is my way.
  • W. Ashley Maddox 1 year ago
    No color correction.

This is extremely nice. In fact I think this is the nicest looking people shots I've seen with the Letus. Great focus. I see so much Letus stuff where if the person on screen even bobs there head they lose complete focus. You know, just because your lens can do f1.2 doesn't mean you have to! I think you've hit it perfectly. Blur distracting backgrounds but keep the primary person in focus. Do you happen to remember what f-stop you had the 35mm lenses at and what f-stop you were using on the EX1? Again, superb job!

Thanks. Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. I was using a 85mm 1.8, 50mm 1.4, or the Sigma 1.8 and I am not sure the f stop on my EX. I think I kept it at 1.9 because of low lighting, but outdoors I had it around 4 maybe.
