On March 25, 2010, leading experts including authors, researchers, an NGO leader and a former slave spoke to the public about modern slavery (a.k.a. human trafficking), a problem affecting almost every continent and a problem faced in Boston. Sponsored by Primary Source, the event was moderated by Michael Shively, a lead researcher. The panel members included author and scholar Zoe Trodd, Katherine Chon - President and Co-Founder of the Polaris Project, Benjamin Skinner - leading journalist, author and advocate, and Francis Bok - abolitionist and former slave.
