A brief tour of Roxbury sites examining the connections between Roxbury and Brookline discussing the Jewish Exodus from Roxbury and visiting buildings that were formerly Temples and Synagogues which have now been re-purposed.
1. Former Temple/Synagogue at Elm Hill Ave. and Seaver St. this building is now a Church and was also the former location of the Elma Lewis School of Fine Arts.
2. Former Temple/Synagogue at Elm Hill Ave. and Howland St. this building is now a Christian Science center one block away from the Historic Charles St. AME Church on Warren St.
3. The former private owned house of a Doctor in Roxbury at Walnut Ave. and Crawford St. converted into the Museum of the National Center of Afro-American Artists. This Roxbury Landmark was the Museum component of the Elma Lewis School.
4. Jewish Memorial Hospital at Townsend St. and Walnut Ave.
