Paddling on the Blackstone River in the easy rapids below the Manville Dam. Located between Cumberland, RI and Lincoln, RI, this dam originally provided power for the huge Manville Mill which was destroyed by fire in the 1950's. At one time, the Manville Mill was one of the largest mill complexes on the Blackstone River employing over 5,000 workers - June 12, 2010.
