if he was clean shaven and well dressed and yet pontificating the same thing, would that make him less crazy, maybe even considered brilliant?

I don't think it was luck that this happened when his mom was visiting. I think probably it was the fact that it was a day in New York City when she was visiting.

Not the first subway crazy I saw on that 2 day trip. I don't mind at all, it's part of NYC life and I love to be in it when i can.

brainy: he wasn't badly dressed, actually. His appearance wasn't nearly as crazy as his behavior.

what's great, is the little reaction he gives the camera when he realizes you are paying attention. little tweak of a jump there. ...and then continues. I WILL EAT AND SHIT OUT ANYOOOOOONE.

If you don't look out for God's image, it'll probably go into a legal battle and someone might be getting sued for God abuse, but luckily this guys looking out for the bearded one from the skies so that doesn't happen because as he says he eats them! I'm going to NY in a week, can't wait to meet God fearin beardy dudes like this guy at every turn. Ass kickin for Jesus, the best type of whoopass. he he he

this guy is only one step away from being a professor of media at any noted university, in fact, he may even be less dangerous as even fewer people are listening to him. did anyone think to ask him how he was or whether he wanted a cup of coffee or how he was feeling?
  • Hahahahah.
  •
  • Jake Lodwick 4 years ago
saintbob: he was scary as shit!

If I could do it all again, I would actually do a News Report right there in the subway car. that should would get LINKED TO!

"I will devour and shit out that messes with the image of God?" I don't know how safe I would have felt videoing a guy who says that out loud in a subway car. He practically stared at the camera a couple of times.

How did you do it, Jakob?
  •
  • kevingalls 4 years ago
that guy is jakob, if the internet no longer existed.

Oh this explains a whole lot why i m scared of nyc and subway!

    :-)

Bhumi, Fear is the mind killer, use public transportation.

Jakob wasn't afraid to film this loon because he was wearing his super videographer vest with the essential "FREE DRINKS for Video" placard.

Hey, you don't need a subway to find people like this. My town has a frequenter of fast food joints who tells folks he is Jesus. This fellow then attempts to convince his listeners he is Jesus for 15min or until they walk away. Unmedicated/mismedicated, non-violent, vociferous mental illness is funny at a range of <40ft indoors.

My hope for us all, "May we always be only voluntarily looney."

Jakob, panning over to your mom's facial expression at the end was priceless. Oh sure, the crazy guy would have been enough on its own, but what luck. I'd have been afraid he would have tried to eat my face or make me shop at wal-mart or something though.

The crazies on Melbourne trains are much less scary, except when they stab people.

"the image of god" meaning the actual physical sight of god or the manifested personality of god? hmm
  •
  • xMattEllis 4 years ago
lmao you probably risked your life filming that.

And there's nobody there who will address this unstable person: 'you're too loud, be quit and sit down, now'? Or is this not advisable?
  • trevor 3 years ago
obviously you don't live in nyc.

Hmmm... he's seemed almost like a Kurt Vonnegut character. At least he didn't hug you. I've had crazies hug me and tell me I was special. It left me with a confusing combination of violation and tenderness.

I like that "hey Mom you having a good time in NYC?" end both of your faces; priceless!
When i live in Manhattan the regular bag ladys and street people who made the rounds oblivious to other's realities just their need the tell you about theirs, and often they smell bad, real bad.
