First footage shot on a Sunday afternoon with the new HV30. 24P, Tv Mode - this camera is a beast. And captures lovely footage of beasts.

    Really nice footage. I have a Canon FS100 (standard-def camcorder) that I bought a couple weeks ago. After seeing so much great footage coming out of the HV30, I realize I should have bought it instead of the FS100.

    There's always the returns department! ;)

    I'm still continually impressed with what this camera is capable of given its price tag. The variety of great footage posted online is what pushed me over the purchasing edge.

    Excellent. So simple, yet I'm drawn in. Thanks for the video. Question-How did you pick this music track? Was it preemptive, or an afterthought once you rough edited?

    Glad you liked it! I shot about 10 minutes of footage and then I chose the music based on the mood I was trying to capture with the footage - something that said "soft afternoon light on a lazy sunday." I then used the track as a sort of editing mantra to help shape some of the cuts; if the footage didn't fit the sound or the flow, I didn't include it.
