Alone was a multimedia sound installation I created for exhibition in the 'ENTRY' exhibition at the Brunswick Arts Gallery in early 2007. The workflow for this piece was angled less toward an animation centred finish, and focused more closely on the soundscape. All the effects & foley sounds were captured over the course of a week I spent with a really nice solid state recorder, taking samples of random weather happenings and a collection of as many differing machinery hum’s I could find.
The eventual piece was I suppose, manufactured to create a gradual feeling of dread for the audience, through the exploration of scenes associated with some form of personal abandon or mental isolation; The run down house, the alienating cityscape, unfamiliar surroundings at night and of course, the hypnotizing paralysis of the ever eroding ocean.
