This is the first film I have created on my Canon EOS 5D mkII. I was considering a travel film, but wanted something a bit different. As my fingers wandered the map I came across the Western Front and the Maginot Line. I started thinking about how this area had often been bypassed, and is even a tourist bypass today.

This was very much a one man job, with no-one to assist me. Everything went reasonably smoothly, except that I went down with flu on the outward journey and the software I used for editing was not really up to the job of coping with raw DSLR footage. That has all changed with the latest version, so I look forward to more and better video in future.
