Grupo Pakal is a small, though very talented and highly successful, Maya Dance Troupe based in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. They regularly perform at The Dallas World Aquarium, as well as at other venues around the metroplex, including the Dallas Museum of Art.

    Jan, Tinu, thanks for the notes. Apologies for the lack of details on the video-- I'll be sure to add a description as soon as possible. This is a small experiment that will most likely evolve into something more elaborate, but for now, I'm glad it has sparked your interest!

    All handheld filmed, very mobile and moving camera on all shots, fitting well with the edit and time remapping.
    Perfect for this kind of subject.
    BTW great performers. Love it.

    It was definitely a very fun piece to edit-- time remapping adds such an amazing dimensionality, doesn't it? Although I would have loved to have had access to a steadicam at the time for a couple of those shots!
