    Hi... ur tutorial is simple and understandable :) I like it :) I have actually no idea abt Photoshops but I always wanted to learn how to edit my own picture and make my own special blog website, made up with all the picture I edited. Hey.. the questions comes after I successful cut out an image from it's background...

    1) what should I do with it?
    2) how to add a new background behind it?
    3) how to save this cut out so it can be use next time??

    I know nothing abt photoshop... nothing at all.. so im trying to learn here :)

    using the calculations function followed by silhouette image in the channels would have been better for the selection with this type of high contrast image.
    i hope you get make a tutorial for that too
