A number of people have been surprised when I tell them I was using a Sony TG3 to shoot material to edit in Final Cut Pro. Some have been told that this camera is not compatible with the Mac. For all those who doubt here is the way it works. This video shows you how to get content from your Sony TG3 (TG1) (or most other cameras using AVCHD) on to your Apple Mac using iMovie 08 or Final Cut Pro in glorious 1080i HD.
