Kenzie & Jay - St Johns 3/18/2008
My girlfriend Leah's sister got married in St Johns in March and I got to go. The island was much more hilly than you'd think and they drove on the wrong side of the road (but still used American cars which made things even more odd).
I brought my new Panasonic XH A1 HD camera and filmed away. The paid photographer thought I was a professional (it's a nice looking camera).
So I sat on the footage for about 3 months until a week before the mainland wedding celebration, so I then hurriedly edited the movie together (I believe Quandary [oobfilms.com/quandary_high.html] was edited like mad for James Devine's wedding. There needs to be more weddings so I can finish all of my projects). There was a laptop there and this movie played on a loop for the entire night. I believe everyone really liked it and weren't just being polite.
I took about a 15 minute ceremony and widdled it down to 4 minutes. I think it moves at a pretty brisk pace. The kiss synching up with the music was purely accidential. I just threw that shot far ahead on the timeline and when I got around to playing the clip where it was that's how it played. So, the rest of my editing revolved around that shot which never moved then on.
Hopy you all enjoy it.
