Well, the producers have decided to take the show on the road to Italy! Filmed in HD, the producers for the Santa Fe TV Show, travel to Umbria and Northern Italy to show our audience the similarities of this area with Santa Fe New Mexico and they just wanted to HAVE SOME FUN! Shot with the GoPro, Sony Ex1, and Panasonic GH1--we've intercut all 3 together! We would like to credit DolomiteMountains.com for helping us with the research, lodging, food, and tours. Just curious ....how come you choose the Panasonic GH1 over the Canon 7D or 5D Mark2?

Would have LOVED to take it. But, for travel from the US, to Italy and Croatia, we didn't want to risk it. We had our trusty Sony with us that's great in low light, we had literally, a backpack with us when we went up to the mountains. Also, budget was a concern. It was pretty tight. And as you know, our 7D just takes up too much memory space as well. We wanted to keep it at minimum lighting, hard drives, and luggage. Also, a week before we left while filming in New Mexico, our 7D had an overheatting issue. We debated for quite a while, and actually it was a good choice. Sony is a work horse, Pani gave us the "filmic" look (to an extent--I would choose 7D over it still). The GoPro was also a great addition.
