"Who is the Guardian? A hero? A failure? A savior? A man?
Possessing heightened perception, foresight and unparalleled strength, the Guardian (Tristan Erwin and
Omer Denney) assumes the responsibility of finding and assisting those with the potential to become the next generation of world leaders, spiritual advisers and peacekeepers.
Unable to manifest his powers, except while in direct, physical contact of those he has sworn to protect, the Guardian must wander the Earth in search of “worthy” candidates. When he fails in his self-appointed mission, the Guardian, haunted by “what might have been”, succumbs to a life of perpetual despair, self-loathing isolation and cynicism.
Overwhelmed by the enormity of his failures, he finds himself having to choose between a self-absorbed finality or coming to terms with what it truly means to be a Guardian."
Written, directed, produced and edited by Nick Denney.

Is this part of a larger concept?
I'd been trying, for a number of years, to craft a story that turned the "superhero genre" on its head, but I simply didn't have the means to create the feature I wanted too. So, I scaled it down and tried to be as practical as possible, without sacrificing quality, story or a three-act feel.
But yes, this short serves as a kind of "proof-of-concept" for other ideas and themes that could be expounded on.
I hope that answers your question. Sorry, I tend to ramble.
nicely done.
