
Kentucky Songs- the Making of

On June 16th, 101 days to go until the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, gifted musicians and vocalists from Central Kentucky came together at the Singletary Center for the Arts to record the official song of Kentucky, "My Old Kentucky Home", and "A Place Called Old Kentucky". My Old Kentucky Home was arranged by Johnie Dean, conducted by Robert Seebacher, solo by Everett McCorvey with Tedrin Lindsay on piano. A Place Called Old Kentucky, written by Timothy Brumfield and Louis Birro, was conducted by Everett McCorvey with Mr. Brumfield on piano, sung by Juli Maners and Mark Ivey, Fiddle-Kati Penn-Williams, Guitar-Carl Williams, Jr., Drummer-Ben Davis. Chorus for both numbers: Mary Hollis Hundley, Holly Flack, Julie La Douceur, Ashley Jackson,Dion Johnson, Amanda Balltrip, Amelia Groetsch
Calesta Day, Karmesha Peake, LaShelle Allen, Dawn Coon, Jondra Harmon, Manuel Castillo, Mark Kano, Whit Whitaker, Brock Terry, Matt Turner and Nicholas Provenzale.
These two musical presentations premiere Summer 2010. Kudos to the media professionals at Post Time Productions, Dynamix Productions and Trigger Happy Productions.
