truely. I was just thinking the other day this is the Golden Age of ASL. I mean never before has there been such a time and access to media and production of ASL in media. This is the time and the wave is in motion like you say. With all the CI and educational systems denying ASL use in schools something is changing. Who knows what 30years will be like; now is the time and to preserve and to create film and stories and poetry. It is the Golden Age of ASL. I'm not sure other countries will have such a time because of the implant and misunderstandings and misinformation from a medical community and educational community run by the larger society which still wants to cure deafness. I am fortunate to be living now and get to share in this Golden time with the explosion of ASL in media. I like your idea of approaching film and using this medium for creative story telling; it is only through education and exposure and constant struggling against ignorance will this Golden time not be lost.
