Fireworks video from the July 4th Freedom Celebration in Champaign, IL. Video was taken about 3 miles away from the fireworks site. This is the last 4.5 minutes of the show.
Camera: Canon HV20 on Fireworks mode.
Audio: Rode Shotgun microphone.
The odd thing is that I could barely hear the fireworks in person as I had the radio cranked up for the music. However on the video, you hear the fireworks much louder than the music. (shotgun microphone working well!)

ThyKingdomCome 1 year agoThat microphone really did a great job considering how far the fireworks were from the camera. Nice setup, nice how you got both the low altititude and high shells in the same frame. -

1 year ago Thanks for the comment. I think next year I might just go to the park and get an up-close and personal shot of the fireworks. (if I want to battle the traffic that is!)
