I had been debating about whether to make this video for a while because, to put it simply, I felt really really sorry for Jesse Taylor.
He was absolutely sacrificed to the ratings gods. The kind of stunt that he pulled could have been easily ignored or privately dealt with by the UFC but instead they decided to play it up for the final episode in their desperation for ratings.
Dana White's explanation of why they were cutting him from the show, that he was not mentally prepared to be famous, conversely did actually sound quite plausible, but it was just a lucky coincidence for White... the real reason was ratings.
I really did like Jesse Taylor. He was a loveable jock with enough of a weird streak to make him amiable, unlike the snarling anvil face CB Dolloway.
So Jesse, I'm sorry I made this video but I thought your antics deserved a "greatest hits".
Stop drinking alcohol, learn some submissions, and come back and kick some arse, then say weird stuff about seagulls and windows in your post-fight interviews okay buddy?
